On April 16, 2019, Evan Crayton, Education Specialists at Legacy Ed Center, was named our 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year for Irvine Adult Transition Program (IATP).

"It is by far the most humbling experience that I've been apart of, and the biggest honor by far", Crayton said. "I am so grateful for so many of my mentors, teachers, and educators along the way, who have pushed and supported me to get where I'm at right now. I certainly wouldn't be here without there devoting support, ideas, and ultimately help. And the courage of the students, to help me be brave in my classroom and to try innovative and different methods of teaching. That's ultimately what this is all about is to be creative and to make education itself better for all students. To get to this level, knowing I have impacted so many peers, students,  and parents in that way, is just beyond words-it's humbling".

Mr. Crayton started at IATP as an Instructional Assistant almost 7 years, and now has transitioned into his third year in teaching. Thank you Mr. Crayton for your dedication to our students and staff!
